I’m running Vista. I have good reason though, I’m getting a brand new GTX 260 Black edition card and need the DX10 support to play Fallout3.
Fucking awesome game by the way if you haven’t played it. I am completely addicted to it, my character is a freaking nutcase with a sniper rifle. Blowing off body parts is the best part of the game.
In other news, the crap on the left side is my reciently listened to tracks on Winamp…fun crap eh? You can poke fun at my music taste now if you wish. <3
So, for Fallout 3, I had to run back to Windows to even make the game run. I have never had so many problems with an OS since the LAST time I was using Windows. Fallout 3 seems to have this nice little LOL FREEZE problem every few minutes. The entire screen will just freeze, but audio keeps going. It doesn’t matter what quality level I have it set at, it still craps bricks. Oh well, I played the game through on my buddys computer and that seemed to work ok. I am looking to get a new video card though and a few other upgrades, probably these…….. [Video Card] [Processor] [Power Supply]
In order to get the processor or video card I have to get the power supply…ugh. So I guess thats first on the list. My 550 is finally dieing.
Oh, before I forget, a quick life in Texas update, I was driving back from Target the other day and pulled up next to this fat white guy in a mazda. He was BLASTING rap music and singing along to it, funny thing is it was Changes by 2pac; “Pull the trigga kill a nigga hes a hero!” he was singing. I laughed so hard… This place is amazing hahaha
Well now, one of my first posts from Texas. Things have been going ok, got down here in one 12 hour drive. I managed to do 90-95 all the way down here. Saw a 4 car accident in Kansas City and topped out at 120 on the Oklahoma turnpike in the mountains. It was all in all a fun drive really. It seemed to go much faster than I thought it would. I ate once on the way down so *shrugs*.
Now I have another problem, freaking tonsils are driving me INSANE. Fuckers need to just be ripped out, seriously, I’m about to snap here. Its day 3 with them being all pissed and infected but I know they will go back to normal in a few more days.
I got an interview, and offered a job all at once at Target. Either they just LOVE me or they REALLY need people. Cashier ftw though, not really a stressful job and I don’t have to stock shit or really take orders from very many people. I have to pee in a cup today to prove I’m not Al, and then get me a red shirt and go play with the other targetians on Tuesday of next week. Woot woot? Anyway I’ll keep this all updated with more stuff later.
I’m moving to Texas in the morning. Crazyness is going on right now, packing like mad, getting things taken care of before I leave. Lots of stuff going on.
Anyway, on another note, I’m opening a new section when I get down there documenting everything that goes on for people back in Waterloo.
Mikey, Adam, Debbie, And everybody else I worked with, I’ll miss you guys, best couple years of my life. I wouldn’t change a thing. Loved that store, kind of felt like a real life Clerks movie you know? I think I left my mark around there with a few neat things. The smilie face on the CASH button on the register, the comic character popping out of the celing tile on the Cigar side. Just random little things like that.
Mikey, You have been an awesome friend and I’ll miss you a lot. You saved my ass a few times and gave me countless laughs. Jager night? Yeah I’ll be telling my grandchildren about that one, uh, when they grow up haha.
Adam, You are a weird one, but a good friend. Fix your damn laptop and stop breaking it, RAWR!
Debbie, You have bailed my ass out so many times its unbelieveable. Always generous and never telling me no when I need to borrow a few bucks. I wouldn’t have made it up here if it wasn’t for you, and maybe someday those night people will stock the shelves so you can have a “day off” haha, not likely!
Everybody else? Sorry I missed you, but you guys have been the best. I’ll always come back to visit
thats a promise!
Now that I am officially set up, I’m happy to begin my terrorism life/millitary blogging here. I’m me, and if you don’t know me yet… well, you will soon. MrTrip and I occasionally reside in the same town, and since I crave power need an outlet and he want’s to keep me some form of sane, he’s graciously allowed me to write about my experiences in the millitary here. A lot of it plays into life itself. Because if you’ve ever lived in an isolated area with a group of about 100-200 people you see every day(or even been to middle school), you know how civilization can quickly dissolve into petty bullcrap. Complete with themed dances. >_< (Thanks for Salsa Night, Army Health and Welfare committee, it was just like being home… in 11th grade, at homecoming!)
Seriously, Army life isn’t so bad. Well, with a war going on it’s got decent perks, anyways. And that’s not to be disrespectful of my brothers and sisters in arms who have given their lives. But think of it in terms like this: I’m getting offerred 13,000 tax free dollars to keep doing this work for another 4 years. I have a High School Diploma, some millitary training, and that’s it. I don’t work anywhere near the danger zones. And I still get goodies from home, I have a fat life insurance plan, and best of all, I’m learning how to be a leader. Leadership is where the cash is, people. The only trick is to not become a power-crazy ass.
